Mark Will Not Be Presenting At The Free Your Mind 5 Conference
To All Attendees of the Free Your Mind 5 Conference:
With deep sadness, I must announce that I will not be presenting at the Free Your Mind 5 Conference on April 7-8-9, 2017.
In light of recent disagreements I’ve had over certain organizational and promotional practices of the conference, I have decided in good conscience that I cannot participate in the event.
This is, most certainly, a decision I did not make lightly.
I sincerely regret that I cannot be there in fellowship with all who will attend, and with the other tremendous speakers, whose work deserves a great deal of support. In particular, my apologies go out to all conference attendees who expected to see my live speaking engagement this year.
My scheduled presentation will instead be given in person in the Philadelphia area in the near future.

Mark's Music Band, The Founders, Will Play The Weekend Of The Free Your Mind 5 Conference
While I fully realize that this is certainly no consolation regarding the unfortunate events that led to the cancellation of my scheduled speaking engagement at FYM 5, I am happy to announce that my anarchist hardcore-punk band, The Founders, will be having our Debut E.P. Release Show on Saturday night, April 8th, 2017, in Philadelphia, just a short car ride from the conference venue. Clearly this is a much different type of event, to say the least. Nonetheless, it would still afford those who may wish to, to socialize with me and my bandmates in a far less formal setting, in my neighborhood in South Philly. (You know... the Italian Market, the place Rocky runs through in the movie). In addition to The Founders having our debut E.P., entitled "No Masters, No Slaves," and two brand new t-shirt designs available at the show, I will also be making available at the show ALL of my What On Earth Is Happening material which would have been available at the FYM 5 conference, including t-shirts, DVDs, flash drives, buttons, stickers, keychains, and maybe even some of my homemade peanut butter! So come on out and have a good time with me and The Founders after the conference on Saturday night. Our music set is at midnight, but I will be there the whole show.
